JPC: On your web site you have some great stories about JFA back in the day. Give us a great memory of those days. What was your favorite show? Also what was the worst memory from back then?
BB: Favorite show that I can remember right now would probably be the one where I met Eileen who said she was Jodie Foster and I believed her. We walked around hand in hand and kissed and I was in heaven.
Worst memory was seeing the Misfits slam a guitar into a guy's head ten feet away from me in SF. I had just met the guy and he was cool as shit and he actually wasn't even throwing things at them like other people were, he was just nearby, so they caved his skull in and now he's got brain damage for life. After that I never bought into the whole Misfits tough guy thing. Anyone who would do that to somebody with their back turned to them is a fucking pussy.
JPC: My first punk rock show was the "Thrasher Skate Rock Volume. 1" record release party in San Francisco. I think that was one of my favorite shows of all time. I remember you guys played with the Big Boys. Do you remember that show? And for my own failing memory's sake who was on the bill?
I'd have to dig up a flyer to say for sure. I think it was at the Tool and Die and the walls were sweating because it was so hot and humid with everyone in there. I think maybe Tony Alva's band the Skoundrelz played. The shows that were the most fun I sometimes have trouble remembering...
JPC: Any final thoughts you'd like to touch upon that I haven't covered? Feel free to use this space to rant on anything you'd like.
BB: Just try and be positive and dream your dreams and chase them, work towards them, that's the only way you can make things happen. It may take time, but you'll eventually get there...
And my final Question:
JPC:Do you have any of those old JFA decks left and if so can I have one? ;p
BB: Just a very few and they're mine. However the new Pool School decks make a fine substitute. Check 'em out at www.poolschool.net
